Mark Peters
Founder and President
Mark founded Mark-One, Inc. in 1989, an outgrowth of a home improvements business he started after being laid off in 1987 from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Framingham. Through persistence, commitment and hard work he has grown from a one-truck operation in 1988 to having six roll-off vehicles and roughly 200 dumpsters today in addition to a full-service demolition business with several crews in the field. The company employs in excess of thirty people. Mark is OSHA certified and has made safety a top priority at Mark-One, Inc. Mark is married and lives in Bolton. In his spare time he serves on the Board of Directors of Caritas Christian Academy in Hudson, MA www.caritasacademy.org and is a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Bolton. Mark is an avid music fan, traveling all over New England, and sometimes the country, in support/search of blues artists and blues history.
Michael Evers
General Manager
Mike joined Mark-One, Inc. in August of 2006. Mike’s background consists of 20 years in the supply chain industry, including purchasing, distribution, and import logistics. As General Manager, one of Mike’s objectives will be to spearhead the creation and implementation of systems to help support the company’s goals and growth. Mike is OSHA certified and works diligently to see that safety is a top prioroty at Mark-One, Inc. Mike is a life long resident of Charlestown where he still lives. He is married, with 2 children. A fan of many sports, his passion is hockey.
Jacqui Bateson
Finance/Business Development Manager
Jacqui joined Mark-One, Inc. in October of 1997. Originally a resident of Lexington, she co-owned a retail clothing store and was active in town affairs, serving as Treasurer of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce for 13 years. Jacqui oversees the financial matters of Mark-One, Inc., helping things run smoothly and profitably. In addition she handles marketing and business development. Jacqui is OSHA certified and along with the rest of the Mark-One, Inc. team, works to make safety a top priority. Jacqui lives in Hudson, NH. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, fly-fishing, gardening and spending time with her dog.
Joanna Deemys
Assistant Finance Manager
Joanna, a graduate of Bradford College, joined the Mark-One, Inc. team in 2007, assisting with the company’s finances. Previously, she owned and operated a pet-care business for eight years in the Greater Boston area. She currently lives in Medford and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her pug Tess. Joanna also devotes some of her spare time to ferret rescue organizations
Tom Murphy
Estimator/Field Supervisor
Tom joined the Mark-One, Inc. team as an Estimator/Field Supervisor in 2007. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry both in the commercial and residential areas. Tom works tirelessly meeting with clients, be they contractors or homeowners, and strives to deliver proposals in a timely manner after carefully listening to the needs of the client. Tom is OSHA certified and dedicated to making safety a top priority at Mark-One, Inc.
Tom is a native of Dracut, MA where he lives with his wife and two children. He is an avid gardener and does rug weaving in his spare time.
Ralph LaPlante
Estimator/Field Supervisor
Ralph joined the Mark-One, Inc. team in 2008. He has 20 years experience in the construction industry including having run his own business. He has done everything throughout the years from framing, roofing and siding to high-end finish carpentry. His vast experience made him a natural fit to serve as second Estimator in response to a growing demand for our demolition services. Ralph is OSHA certified and is actively involved in maintaining a safe working environment at Mark-One, Inc.
Originally from Lowell, he now resides in Derry, NH. He has three children who he loves spending time with. In addition, he is a musician and plays the guitar, is an avid Patriots fan and on most warm weekends you will usually find him in the woods on his 4-wheeler.
Iris Hill
Office Manager
Iris joined the Mark-One, Inc. team in December 2005. In addition to general office and bookkeeping matters, Iris assists with dispatching and client services. Iris is a native of Lowell and still makes her home there. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Tony Caliri
Fleet Manager
Tony joined the Mark-One, Inc. team full-time in 2002 after retiring from teaching in Woburn Public Schools. His duties include overseeing the Mark-One, Inc. fleet of vehicles. Tony is married and is a resident of Bedford.
Trey Dawg Chase
Director of Security
Trey Dawg joined the Mark-One, Inc. team in April 2007. He seemed to show a natural affinity for the demolition business after completely destroying several doors while left home alone. He has proven to be very valuable in the office in terms of security and has an uncanny knack for sizing up potential employees. He may have a future in HR. Unlike the rest of the Mark-One, Inc. team, Trey Dawg is allowed to sleep on the job and has his own couch in the office.
Tess
Official Mark-One, Inc. Greeter
Tess joined the Mark-One, Inc. team in October 2007 after a distinguished career as vice-president of her Mom's pet sitting business. Tess likes not having to be "second in command" any longer and now spends her days mostly sleeping. She's given up the high pressure life of constant walks and riding around in the car for a cozy, comfortable bed. Tess is a sun worshiper and can often be found right next to the front door soaking up the rays on a warm, sunny day.
